It follows the story of three individuals who are unsure if they belong to the realm of the living or the dead, and their journey of self-discovery as they are confronted by the mysterious figure of La Catrina.

La Catrina is one of Laenye Productions' signature works — a piece deeply rooted in Latinx cultural tradition and the iconic figure of La Catrina from Mexican folklore. The production weaves magical realism with live theatre to create an immersive, multilingual experience that celebrates the stories and heritage of migrant communities in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.
